Trouvadore, a top shelf Caribbean rum with a colourful history.

Logo + label design

Bambarra Rum of the Turks and Caicos Islands, needed an identity for their newest product; a premium, sophisticated rum blended from some of the Caribbean’s oldest rum stocks.

The Trouvadore was a Spanish ship that was shipwrecked in the Turks and Caicos Islands in 1841. The ship was transporting slaves to be illegally sold to the sugar plantations in Cuba. The slaves on board survived the wreck and were granted freedom by British Law and settled in the Middle Calicos at what is now known as Bambarra Beach (named after the tribe).

I designed the label to be traditional, sophisticated and elegant.
